Cole Swindell said he “never knew a video shoot for a song on my last album would lead to forever.”

Swindell featured his now-wife, Courtney Little Swindell, in the music video for his 2022 ballad, “Some Habits.” Filming the music video together served as the couple’s first date. Swindell shared a throwback photo from the music video set on Instagram on Monday (April 28) to celebrate “Forever To Me” becoming his 13th No. 1 single.

The singer-songwriter teamed up with Greylan James and Rocky Block to write “Forever To Me,” which served as his wedding song when he married his wife in June 2024. James and Jordan Schmidt produced the ballad. Swindell said on Monday, “this one means a lot to us.” Little Swindell wrote in the comments: “Who knewwwww my life would change forever (to me) that day 🥹 love you so much!” She added on her Instagram story that “September 2021 was the start of forever (to me).” The heartfelt single is one of 21 tracks that will appear on Swindell’s upcoming studio album, Spanish Moss, which is set to arrive on June 27.

Swindell and his wife announced earlier this year that she’s pregnant with Baby No. 1. They quickly followed the pregnancy announcement with a gender reveal to confirm they’re welcoming a daughter soon. Other artists welcoming a baby into the family this year include Lauren Alaina, Jordan Davis, Lady A’s Hillary Scott, Lady A’s Charles Kelley and more.
