Miranda Lambert posted a sneak peek of an unreleased collaboration with an unexpected duet partner: Enrique Iglesias. Lambert said as she and Iglesias posted the snippet of “Space In My Heart” that the ballad is “Texas meets Spain,” and she “can’t wait for y’all to hear this one.” It’s set to make its debut on February 22.

“Space In My Heart” will mark Lambert’s first music release of 2024. It follows her live rendition of “Carousel” from the 2023 ACM Awards, “If You Were Mine” with Leon Bridges and other recent releases. Her most recent full-length album, Palomino, arrived in April 2022. Lambert co-produced and co-wrote 14 of the 15 tracks on the album, which included one cover (Mick Jagger’s “Wandering Spirit”). Other highlights from the album include “Actin’ Up,” “Strange,” “Geraldene,” “If I Was A Cowboy” and more.

Lambert’s Palomino track, “Actin’ Up,” inspired the name of her ongoing Las Vegas residency, Velvet Rodeo. She told iHeartRadio’s Amy Brown during an exclusive iHeartCountry Album Release show that she’s built a career on being feminine and still keeping a bada** edge, and I think that’s important and I felt like Velvet Rodeo would encompass that.”

Looking ahead to 2024, Lambert set nine final Velvet Rodeo shows in Las Vegas. She also stirred anticipation for new music when she posted a selfie last month with Ashley Monroe and Stephen Wilson Jr., writing in her “first songs of 2024” that day. “Great start to this year I’d say! We got deep in the paint. 3 in a day… but let’s get it while the gettin’s good💕💙🤠”
