Bobby already has his Valentine’s Day plans figured out and feels pretty good about them.
The conversation started with the idea that not every couple celebrates Valentine’s Day the same way, especially since this year it falls on a weekend night. Bobby explained that he and his wife were originally supposed to go to dinner with Eddie and his wife the week before, but the plans were canceled and rescheduled for February 12th. Bobby's wife told him that the rescheduled dinner could count as their Valentine’s Day dinner. Eddie said he hadn’t asked his wife yet if that would count for them too. The group talked through whether celebrating on the 12th instead of the 14th still made sense, especially since it was a nice dinner and required getting dressed up and going out. Bobby said part of the reasoning was that his wife is pregnant and doesn’t always feel good, so if she’s willing to get ready and go out, that effort alone makes the dinner feel special enough. The show agreed that doing one nice dinner instead of multiple nights out made sense.
The conversation shifted to whether Bobby would end up paying for dinner, as he often does. Eddie joked that if Bobby paid, it would be even better and definitely count as Valentine’s Day. Others pointed out that if Bobby covered the meal, Eddie should still do something else for his wife, especially since he had returned her Christmas present. Eddie said that even if the dinner counted, he could still get his wife flowers afterward. He confirmed he would handle that himself.
