Jordan Davis unveiled a new sneak peek of “Mess With Missing You,” a duet with Carly Pearce that appears on his soon-to-debut studio album.

Davis said Pearce was “one of my first friends in Nashville,” as he shared a clip of the collaboration on Instagram on Wednesday evening (August 13). “Mess With Missing You” is one of 17 tracks set to appear on the “Next Thing You Know” artist’s new record, Learn The Hard Way, which is die to arrive on Friday (August 15). Learn The Hard Way includes “Bar None,” “I Ain’t Sayin’” and “Louisiana Stick” with Marcus King,” along with a few other previously-released tracks. Davis said when he announced his third studio album earlier this year that he’s “pumped to have two incredible artists featured on this record.” Pearce said it’s “such an honor” to be included.

“Fun fact: When I moved to town, I used to go to a certain bar where the bartender’s name was Jordan. I later learned he was a singer too and we played his first ever ‘writers’ round’ together in town,” Pearce shared on Instagram last year, when she and Davis teamed up to host the 17th ACM Honors together at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Pearce is returning to host the 18th annual show for her fifth consecutive year, this time with Russell Dickerson, at Nashville’s new venue, The Pinnacle. “Fast forward after all these years of hard work and both finding success, our lives are coming full circle as we co-host ACM Honors tonight together. Hey [Jordan Davis], I think we made it. 🥲”

Davis replied in the comments at that time: “What a ride... Honored to get to co-host with you but more honored to call you a friend Carly 👊”

Davis’ upcoming album follows Bluebird Days, which arrived in February 2023 with “Tucson Too Late,” “What My World Spins Around,” “Next Thing You Know” and more. The Louisiana-born country star, who is gearing up for his “Ain’t Enough Road Tour,” is also known for breakout single “Singles You Up,” “Buy Dirt” with Luke Bryan, “Take It From Me,” “Almost Maybes,” “Slow Dancing In A Parking Lot” and more.
