Kaitlyn Mileto scored 18 points and played shutdown defense to help the Cowgirls beat Boise State, 55-48, on Saturday in the Arena-Auditorium.

"Katilyn Mileto played both ends of the floor very well,' said Wyoming Coach Joe Legerski. "She plays with a calmness on offense and she gets to and challenges people defensively."

Mileto was charged with guarding the Broncos leading scorer, Deanna Weaver. She went 1-for-10 from the field and scored just 3 points on the night, a season low.

"We helped each other and that’s what our defense comes down to," said Mileto. "We all have each other’s back. We all pick each other up. It makes my job and everyone else’s job a lot easier when you know your teammates have your back."

BSU (6-8, 1-2) took a 47-46 lead with 3:35 left in the game on two free throws from Miquelle Askew. Wyoming went on a 9-1 run to close out the game, grabbing three offensive rebounds and making 7 free throws to secure the win.
